This comes with an 80/20 coffee to chicory blend which means the coffee has more room to express itself. A higher concentration of estate grown coffee comes through in the cup with a fuller aroma, a more pronounced natural robustness, and a depth that the chicory complements rather than defines. Roasted medium dark, the beans bring a robustness and intensity to the brew that makes this the filter coffee for those who want to taste the coffee first and everything else after.

The Supreme South Indian Filter Kaapi brews the same way as its counterpart, through a traditional South Indian filter. Add the blend to the upper compartment, pour hot water, and let the concentrate drip down slowly into the lower chamber. Because of the higher coffee content, the brew will be stronger and more intense, so adjust your milk ratio accordingly or drink it straight as a Kattan Kaapi for the full experience.

About Vanadri

Vanadri, meaning "Forest Mountain", is rooted in the Western Ghats, where evergreen forests, shifting light, and rain shape the nature of what emerges from the land. In a place like this, you will find depth, character and uniqueness in everything — a blend we aim to bring into every cup, so what you experience reflects the essence of its roots.

The Vanadri estate also sits beneath a dense canopy of Silver Oak, Jackfruit, and wild fig trees. This shade slows the coffee's growth, giving each bean more time to absorb from the soil and develop its character. What grows slowly, grows with more depth.

The estate in Chikmagalur has been cultivated for more than three decades, spread across acres of land beneath a canopy so layered that the light reaching the ground has already passed through several lives before it gets there. The birds know this estate better than most people do. The civets have been passing through long before Vanadri had a name. And once a year, the coffee blossoms turn the whole plantation white — unhurried and certain, the way everything on this land tends to happen.
